About Us

Started by neighbours,
built for a community

Happy People Foundation began in 2009 not as an NGO but as a conversation — between housing society committee members who believed their responsibility to residents went beyond maintenance fees and AGM minutes.

Our Mission

To make every housing society a place where people genuinely look after each other

We believe the quality of a neighbourhood is determined not by its amenities but by how its people treat one another — especially those who are elderly, struggling, or simply in need of company.

HPF exists to make that care systematic, visible and sustainable — through regular programmes, trained volunteers and full financial transparency.

What We Stand For

Our values

🤝

Inclusivity

Every programme is open to all residents regardless of flat size, building or background.

💰

Transparency

Every rupee collected and spent is publicly visible. No hidden costs, no admin overhead.

🌱

Sustainability

We build programmes that continue — not dependent on any single person or funding source.

❤️

Dignity

Every interaction — especially with those receiving support — is conducted with full respect.

📍

Local first

We serve the communities we live in. Volunteers are residents, not outsiders.

📢

Accountability

HPF is accountable to its community. Annual report shared publicly every December.
